Когда мисс Гекльберри была моей учительницей, наши уроки были веселыми.

“Мы сделаем животных из зоопарка”, - сказала мисс Гекльберри. Сделаем животных из зоопарка?

Пенни сказала: “Глина!” Я принесла глину. Другие дети взяли бумагу и миски с водой.

Некоторые дети взяли глину и вылепили маленьких животных. Другие дети взяли глину и вылепили больших животных.

Один мальчик слепил бегемота. У него получилось очень хорошо. Другой мальчик слепил обезьянку. Но обезьяна была больше бегемота! А паук был еще больше! Самым лучшим животным был мой слон. Это было самое крупное животное в зоопарке.

Мисс Гекльберри нам очень помогла.

Потом я смастерил клетку для льва из коробки для шляп. Девочка покрасила блюдо в синий цвет. Это была вода для маленького бегемота. Мой друг Билл смастерил дом для обезьян. Пенни помогала двум другим девочкам написать таблички для клеток. У Пенни хорошо получалось писать. Она написала по буквам “гиппопотам”. Затем мы подумали о названии зоопарка. Пенни сделала большую табличку и повесила ее на дверь класса.

The children made the class zoo by creating zoo animals out of clay. They used clay to make different animals, while others made cages and houses for them. Penny helped write signs for the cages, and she also made a big sign for the zoo to put on the door.

Some children took the clay and made small animals. Some other children took the clay and made big animals.

One boy made the hippopotamus. He made it very well. Another boy made the monkey. But the monkey was bigger than the hippopotamus! And the spider was bigger! The best animal was my elephant. It was the largest animal in the zoo.

Miss Huckleberry helped us a lot.

Then I made a lion cage from a hat box. A girl painted a dish blue. It was the water for the little hippopotamus. My friend Bill made a monkey house. Penny helped two other girls to write signs for the cages. Penny was good at spelling. She spelt “hippopotamus”. Then we thought about the name for the zoo. Penny made a big sign and put it on the door of the room.
