Pompeii
Pompeii was an ancient Roman city near Naples and Mt Vesuvius, a volcano in Italy. It was a busy city and its narrow streets were often full of people. In the centre of the city there was a large marketplace and a forum. There was a large amphitheatre and two smaller theatres where people watched performances. There were also temples and public baths and many buildings had running water. The town had bakerstask, restaurants and even a hotel. Unfortunately, it wasntaskt a very lucky city and In 79 AD the eruption of Mt Vesuvius destroyed it and buried it under ash.
