A: What did they look like?
B: The handkerchief looked like a carpet, the comb looked like a fence and the tobacco box looked like a great golden box.
A: How big were they?
B: The handkerchief was as big as the carpet. The tobacco box was as big as a kitchen in a Lilliputian’s house. The comb was as big as the fence around the King’s garden.
A: What did the Lilliputians think of them?
B: The Lilliputian thought that they were big and they couldn’t understand the purpose of the tobacco box.
А: На что они были похожи?
B: Носовой платок был похож на ковер, расческа – на забор, а коробка с табаком – на большую золотую шкатулку.
А: Какого они были размера?
В: Платок был такой же большой, как ковер. Табакерка была такая же большая, как кухня в доме лилипута. Расческа была такой же большой, как забор вокруг сада короля.
A: Что думали о них лилипуты?
B: Лилипуты думали, что они большие, и не могли понять назначение табакерки.
