Reporter: Nicola, can you tell me what makes you feel happy?
Nicola: Yes. I feel happy when the sun is shining. When I wake up in the morning and it’s a beautiful day, I feel very happy.
Reporter: When do you feel sad?
Nicola: I feel sad when it’s the last day of my holidays. When I have to pack my things and come home I feel very sad.
Reporter: I see. And when do you feel excited?
Nicola: Just before the school concert.
Reporter: When do you feel nervous?
Nicola: I feel nervous when I travel somewhere by plane.
Reporter: Do you ever feel angry?
Nicola: Yes. I feel angry when my sister borrows my clothes.
Reporter: And when do you feel frightened?
Nicola: Well, I sometimes feel frightened when I go upstairs in the dark.
Reporter: Do you sometimes feel bored?
Nicola: Yes, I feel bored when I watch sport on TV.
Reporter: Thank you, Nicola. Now I’m going to ask Robert the same questions. Robert, what makes you feel happy?
Robert: I feel happy when someone gives me a present.
Reporter: When do you feel sad?
Robert: I feel sad when our school team loses a football match.
Reporter: Oh, I see. And when do you feel excited?
Robert: I feel excited when I go somewhere by train. I love travelling.
Reporter: And do you ever feel nervous?
Robert: Yes — I feel very nervous just before I have an exam at school. That’s horrible.
Reporter: When do you feel angry?
Robert: I felt very angry when my little brother spilt milk all over my homework.
Reporter: And when do you feel frightened?
Robert: I felt frightened when I found a great big spider in my bed.
Reporter: Do you ever feel bored?
Robert: Yes, I feel bored when I’m waiting for the bus to school. There’s nobody to talk to.
Reporter: I see. Thank you, Robert.
