А. Модератор: Самый главный символ Соединенного Королевства – Королева. Она – единственный человек в Великобритании, у которого два дня рождения: ее настоящий и официальный день рождения. В день ее официального дня рождения проходит парад с участием сотен солдат.

В. Модератор: Да, это правда. Великобритания богата обычаями и традициями. Некоторые из них хорошо известны. У многих из них очень длинная история. Некоторые смешные, а некоторые странные. Существует множество традиций, связанных с Королевской семьей, спортом, музыкой и едой. Есть старые песни, поговорки и суеверия. Все они – часть британского образа жизни.

C. Модератор: Некоторые британцы верят в удачу и неудачу. Например, черные кошки приносят удачу. Трилистник с четырьмя листьями тоже приносит удачу. Число «13» очень невезучее.

D. Модератор: Это выражение, которое значит «Спокойной ночи».

E. Модератор: Я знаю, что чай популярен во всем мире. Но вот англичане пьют много чая. Чашка чая может разбудить вас утром и уложить спать ночью. Если вам жарко, чай вас охладит, а если холодно –согреет.

A. Moderator: The Queen is the most popular symbol of the UK. She is the only person in Britain with two birthdays: her real one and the official’ birthday. During her official’ birthday, there is a parade with hundreds of soldiers.

B. Moderator: Yes, thattasks true. Britain is rich in customs and traditions. Some of them are well-known. A lot of them have very long histories. Some are funny and some are strange. There are many traditions connected to the Royal Family, sports, music and food. There are old songs, sayings and superstitions. They are all part of the British way of life.

C. Moderator: Some British people believe in good and bad luck. For example, black cats are lucky. A shamrock with four leaves brings good luck. The number ’thirteen’ is very unlucky.

D. Moderator: It is a saying which means taskGood night’.

E. Moderator: I know that tea is popular all over the world. But the British drink a lot of tea. A cup of tea can wake you up in the morning and put you to sleep at night. If you are hot, tea cools you down and if you are cold, it warms you up.
