Formal style is characterised by:
formal expressions, advanced vocabulary & longer sentences. (I am writing to enquire when...)
formal linking words/phrases (However, In addition.)

end with closing remarks
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing with reference to your advertisement in the Speak English magazine. I am very interested in spending a couple of weeks in England next summer and would like some more information about your summer camp.
Firstly, I would like to know what the minimum stay length is and how many hours of English lessons there are each day. I would also like to know what other activities are available for 12-year-olds at the camp. For instance, what water sports are available, and are lessons provided by instructors?
In addition, I would appreciate if you could send me information about accommodation and prices. Do children sleep in dormitories or smaller rooms and how many children are there to a room? Thank you in advance. I look forward to hearing from you in the near future.
Kind regards,
Alexei Belikov
