Том: Да. Австралия - самый большой остров на нашей планете, но я знаю, что многие считают, что это континент.

Сэм: Верно. Вот что я думаю: это самый маленький континент.

Том: Она же является и страной так же.

Sam: Have you had a nice evening?

Tom: Yes, I’ve just finished watching a very interesting film on TV.

Sam: Really? What was it about?

Tom: About the largest island in the world.

Sam: The largest island? Do you mean Australia?

Tom: I do. Australia is the largest island on our planet, but I know that many people think it is a continent.

Sam: Right. That’s what I think: it is the smallest continent.

Tom: And it is a country too.

Sam: I know that. Australia is a country situated on the continent which is also Australia. What is its capital? Is it Sydney?

Tom: No. It’s Canberra, but Sydney is the largest city in the country. And it is the oldest city too.

Sam: What language do they speak in Australia?

Tom: English. But Australian English is different from the language they speak in the USA and Britain.
