(1) What is Monkeys Land?
Monkey Land is an amazing adventure course in a beautiful forest location. There are zip wires and rope bridges for you to travel from tree to tree. It usually takes about two hours to complete the course.
(2) Who can take part?
Monkey Land is popular for people of all ages, but there are some restrictions. The minimum height is 1.5 metres, and the maximum weight is 145 kg. Groups sometimes come to Monkey Land for school trips, and it’s a great idea if you’re looking for an exciting place to celebrate your birthday.
(3) How fit do you need to be?
There aren’t any particular restrictions, but you need to be reasonably fit and strong. An instructor provides training to all participants before they begin the course.
(4) Do you need to wear special clothes?
Just wear old, comfortable clothes, and don’t wear sandals. All participants also wear a safety harness.
(5) When can you go?
Monkey Land is open from April to October, every day except Wednesdays. You can book online or by phone.

(M = Man, T = Tanya)
M: Hello, Monkey Land?
T: Oh, hello. Can I book for a group visit next Saturday, please?
M: Yes, certainly. How many people are there in your group?
T: Er, there are 12 of us. We’re celebrating someone’s birthday!
M: Twelve people? That’s quite a lot! Lets see ... Yeah, you could come in the morning, at ten o’clock. Is that OK?
T: Yeah, that’s fine.
M: Right... How many adults are there in the group?
T: Er, four. Yeah, four adults.
M: OK. That’s great. There aren’t any children under ten, are there?
T: No, there aren’t. Everyone else is 14 or 15.
M: That’s OK then.
T: How long does it usually take to do the course?
M: Well, most people finish in about three hours. But you can stay here all day -there’s lots to do. You can go mountain biking if you like, in the afternoon? Mountain biking? Hmm, that sounds good! Do we need to book that in advance?
M: No, you can just decide on the day.
T: Oh, great. Is there a cafe there as well?
M: Yes, there is. There’s a cafe and a shop. They’re both open all day.
T: Right. Do I need to pay now, by card?
M: No, you can pay when you arrive. You’ve got a reservation now.
T: Great. Oh, can you tell me how much the carpark costs there?
M: Yes, ifs 2 pounds for the whole day.
T: Thanks!
M: No problem. See you on Saturday.
T: Bye.
