Приведем выдержку из задания из учебника Кузовлев, Лапа, Перегудова 7 класс, Просвещение:
1. Grammar. More than a third of all paper is recycled.
How does it happen? Fill in the gaps with the verb from the box in the passive form.
to carry • to cut (x2) • to dry • to mix (x2) to take • to use (x3) • to work up • to recycle
A Producing paper starts in a tree. Every fifth tree in the world is used (используется) to make paper.
В The wood is cut (рубится) into small pieces.
С The wood chips are mixed (смешиваются) with water to produce a pulp.
D Used paper is taken (забирается) from rearing centres. Then it is carried (отвозится) to paper factories.
E The used paper is worked up (обрабатывается) and mixed (смешивается) with the wood pulp.
F Chemicals are used (используются) tо make the pulp white. Then the pulp is dried (сушится) to form a huge rolkerf paper. Large rolls of paper are cut (режутся) into smaller ones. Large rolls are used (используются) for newspapers, smaller rolls for books and magazines.
G Less than a half of all paper is recycled (перерабатывается). We can recycle more.

Dear Nick,
I would like to write a few words about otters in Russia. They were common in our region many years ago. However, they are rare in our rivers now. A lot of rivers are polluted. More than that, hunters kill otters because of their fur. Wildlife specialists try to bring otters back to our rivers, they look after them. As a result, we can see otters in the wild. But I think, they are still in danger. Have you ever seen an otter in the wild? I hope to hear from you soon.
