а) Оксфорд один из самых старых британских городов. Он находится в 90та километрах от Лондона и стоит на Темзе. Темза протекает через Оксфорд и затем река бежит на юго-восток Лондона.

b) Оксфорд известен своей историей и университетами. Он образовался в 13 веке. В то время Оксфорд был рыночным городом на реке с дорогами на ней. Вокруг города были стены и не так много людей там жило. Но город становился больше и больше. Люди строили новые дома, стены, мосты. Они возвели дворец, замок и несколько церквей.

с) Теперь Оксфорд это большой город. Там много старых и очень красивых домов. В городе много интересных музеев, парков и садов. Туристы из многих стран мира приезжают в Оксфорд, чтобы увидеть его. В городе есть много отелей для туристов. Там много магазинов, где посетители могут купить сувениры. Центр Оксфорда это очень зеленое место. Посетители любят гулять по узким улочкам. Многие люди путешествуют в городе на велосипеде. Некоторым туристам нравится смотреть Оксфорд на автобусе.

There were walls around the town and not many people lived there. But the town got bigger and bigger. People made new houses, walls, bridges. They made a palace, a castle and some churches.

c) Now Oxford is a big city. It has got a lot of old and very beautiful houses. There are many interesting museums, parks and gardens in the city. Tourists from many countries of the world come to Oxford to see it. The city has got a lot of hotels for tourists. There are many shops where visitors can buy souvenirs. The centre of Oxford is a very green place. Visitors love walking in the narrow old streets. Many people travel in the city by bicycle. Some tourists like to see Oxford from the bus.
