1. In the 17th- 18th century child labour wasn't considered a big (social) problem. It was an integral part of the agricultural economy in America.

(В XVII - XVIII веках детский труд не считался большой (социальной) проблемой. Это была неотъемлемая часть сельскохозяйственной экономики Америки.)

2. In America children used to work together with their parents to help them in agriculture, coal mining and other jobs. In England children often worked long hours at factories. Their size allowed them to move in small spaces in factories or mines where adults couldn't fit.
