• Существительное может быть исчисляемым и неисчисляемым. Исчисляемые существительные - это те, которые мы можем считать. Пример: компьютер - пять компьютеров

• Неисчисляемые существительные - это вещи, которые мы не можем сосчитать.

Пример: information (информация), money(деньги), TV(телевидение), music(музыка), progress(прогресс), water(вода), air(воздух), snow(снег), advice(совет), bread(хлеб), food(еда), news(новости), damage(повреждение), weather(погода), work(работа) и т.д.

• У неисчисляемых существительных есть только одна форма (вода, воздух).

Пример. Most people listen to music while driving to work. I've heard it on the TV. (Большинство людей слушают музыку во время работы. Я слышал ее по телевизору).

• Артикли a / an не используются с неисчисляемыми существительными.

Пример: He doesn’t eat meat. He’s a vegetarian.(Он не ест мяса. Он вегетарианец).

Что сегодня по телевизору? (What’s on TV tonight?)

• Some / any and much / little используются с неисчисляемыми существительными

Пример: Example: — Can I have some juice?

— You are welcome!

(Можно ли немного сока? - Пожалуйста!)

I’m sorry. I can't join you on Sunday. I’ve got much work to do.

(Прости. Я не могу присоединиться к вам в воскресенье. У меня много работы).
