Плохая память

Знаменитый профессор, который был известным специалистом в области математики и физики, имел очень плохую память. Он был автором многих учебников, и на полках каждой библиотеки были книги, написанные им, но он часто забывал очень простые вещи.

Однажды вечером клуб ученых пригласил его: «Не могли бы вы выступить с лекцией для членов нашего клуба?»

Когда он вышел из дома, он забыл взять с собой ключ, и он не заметил это, пока не шел обратно домой. «Мне повезло, что моя жена дома», - подумал он.

Ночь была очень темная, и когда его жена посмотрела на него из окна, она не увидела, кто там стоит.

«Профессора нет дома», - сказала она.

Профессор забыл, что он стоял перед своим домом, к тому же, что он как обычно думал о своих лекциях, поэтому он сказал: «О, извините. Я приду в другой раз. И он ушел.

One evening a scientist club asked if the professor could give a lecture for their club members. When he left home, he forgot to take his key. Fortunately, the professor’s wife was at home. It was very dark, that’s why the woman didn’t recognize her husband. She answered that the professor wasn’t at home. The absent-minded scientist apologized and said that he would come another time.

The gist of the story: The professor had such a bad memory that once he even forgot where he lived.

Однажды вечером клуб ученых спросил, может ли профессор дать лекцию своим членам клуба. Когда он ушел из дома, он забыл взять ключ. К счастью, жена профессора была дома. Было очень темно, поэтому женщина не узнала своего мужа. Она ответила, что профессора нет дома. Рассеянный ученый извинился и сказал, что он придет в другой раз.

Суть рассказа: у профессора была такая плохая память, что он даже забыл, где он живет.

A Bad Memory

A famous professor, who was a well-known specialist in mathematics and physics, had a very bad memory. He was the author of many textbooks, and there were books by him on the shelves of every library, but he often forgot very simple things.

One evening, a scientists club invited him: “Could you give a lecture for our club members?”

When he left the house, he forgot to take his key with him, and he didn’t notice it until he was on his way home again. “It’s lucky that my wife is at home,” he thought.

It was a verytask dark night, and when his wife looked down at him from the window, she couldntaskt see who was standing there.

“The professor isn’t at home,” she said.

The professor didn’t remember that he was standing in front of his house, besides he was thinking as usual about his lectures, so he said, “Oh, I’m sorry. I’ll come another time.” And he went away.
