Флора и Фауна Британских островов

1) Теплый и сырой климат Великобритании очень доброжелателен для растений. Именно поэтому страна выглядит как один большой зеленый сад.

Несколько веков назад здесь было много лесов, но сейчас вы можете найти большие леса только в некоторых частях страны – на севере Шотландии, юго-востоке и юго-западе Англии. Наиболее распространенные деревья в Англии – дубы, вязы и буки, в то время как в Шотландии много сосен, елей и берез.

2) Фауна или животный мир на Британских островах похож на север сырой Европы. Много больших животных, таких как медведи, волки, не живут на Британских островах больше, но там множество маленьких животных: лисы, кролики, зайцы и ежи. Олени живут в лесах Шотландии и также Англии. Здесь много различных типов рыбы, змей, ящериц, лягушек, бабочек и стрекоз.

3) Более чем 2 тысячи видов птиц живут на Британских островах и около двух тысяч видов посетителей это местности. Многие из поющих птиц, весной останавливаются тут и поют свои песни. Наиболее распространенные птицы – черные дрозды и воробьи. Множество водных птицы – лебеди, утки, гуси и чайки – живут на озерах и реках, а также на побережьях Великобритании.

4) Может быть интересно, что одна из наиболее распространенных птиц Британии, малиновка, стала национальной птицей страны. Здесь также есть символы-растения: красная роза – национальная эмблема Англии, чертополох – национальная эмблема Шотландии, желтый нарцисс и лук-порей – эмблемы Уэльса и трилистник – эмблема Ирландии.

Flora and Fauna of the British Isles

1) The warm and wet climate of Great Britain is very good for plants. That’s why the country looks like a big beautiful garden.

Centuries ago there were a lot of forests on the British Isles but now you can find big forests only in a few parts of the country — the north of Scotland and the south-east and south-west of England. The most common trees in England are oaks, elms and beeches while Scotland has a lot of piles, firs and birches.

2) The fauna or animal life on the British Isles is like in the north wet of Europe. Many larger animals such as bears and wolves don’t live on the British Isles any mire but there are a lot of smaller animals: foxes, rabbits, hares and hedgehogs. Deer live in the forests of Scotland and England too. There are also different kinds of fish, snakes, lizards, frogs, but-trifles and dragonflies.

3) More than two hundred species of birds live on the British Isles an! about two hundred kinds are visitors of the place. Many of than are songbirds, in spring the laid rings with their singing. The most common are blackbirds and sparrows. A lot of water birds — swans, ducks, geese and gulls — liva on the lakes and rivers and on the sea coasts of Great Britain.

4) It may be interesting that the robin, one of Britain’s common birds, has become the national bird of the country. There are also plant symbols of the country: the red rose is the national emblem of England, the thistle is the national emblem of Scotland, the yellow daffodil and the leek are emblems of Wales and the shamrock is the emblem of Ireland.
