7 A. Прочитай тексты о цветах и скажи, какой месяц и почему ты с ними ассоциируешь.

Подснежник – белый как снег цветок, растущий, когда снег все еще лежит в лесах. Ты можешь попробовать вырастить подснежники также и в своем саду.

Цветок этого месяца – примула. Примула может быть разных цветов: белый, желтый, красный, розовый, оранжевый, пурпурный. Этот маленький цветок выглядит как звезда, он один из ранних цветов весны. Они распространенные в Европе, Азии и Северной Америке.

Цветок этого месяца – нарцисс, который растет и расцветает ранней весной. Он был садовым любимым цветков многие века. У него длинные листья и яркие желтые лепестки. Он принадлежит к семейству нарциссов. В греческой мифологии, Нарцисс был молодым мужчиной, который любил только себя. Поэтому боги разозлились на него и превратили его в цветок.

Водные лилии растут в прудах и озерах. Это цветки большие. Некоторые глубоко желтого цвета, другие розово-белые и еще есть голубые или даже пурпурные. Этот прекрасный цветок может быть белым, желтым, красным, пурпурным и розовым. Хризантемы доброжелательные цветы, потому что растут и открываются когда рядом нет других цветков.

Этот милый цветок, наверное, нравится всем. Розы радуют нас своей красотой с июня до сентября, и в Англии, чьей эмблемой является роза, вы можете иногда увидеть розы в ноябре или даже декабре. Наиболее распространенный цвет для розы – красный, розовый, белый или желтый. Если вы хотите сказать, что ситуация включает в себя не самые приятный вещи, вы можете выразиться «не только удовольствие» (игра слов)

1) The snowdrop is as white as snow and grows when snow still lies in the forests. You can try to grow snowdrops in your garden too.

2) This month’s flower is the primrose. The primrose may have many different colours: white, yellow, red, pink, orange and purple. This little flower looking like a star is one of the earliest spring flowers. They are common in Europe, Asia and North America.

3) The flower of this month is the daffodil which grows and blooms early in spring. It has been a garden favourite for centuries. It has long leaves and bright yellow petals1. It belongs to the narcissus family. In Greek mythology, Narcissus was a young man who could love nobody else but himself. So gods2 got angry with him and turned him into a flower.

4) Water lilies grow in ponds and lakes. These flowers are large. Some are deep yellow, some are pinkish white and some are blue or even purple. The best known water lily is Victoria Regia. The leaves of this plant grow over a meter and a half in diameter. Its big pink-white flowers open in the evening.

5) The chrysanthemum is one of the oldest flowers people grow. It has been grown in Japan for nearly two thousand years and is the national flower of that island country. Travellers brought it to Europe in the 17th century. This lovely flower can be white, yellow, red, purple or pink. Chrysanthemums are welcome flowers because they grow and open when there are not many other flowers around.

6) This sweet flower is probably everyone’s favourite. Roses please us with their beauty from June to September and in England, whose emblem they are, you can sometimes see roses opening in November or even December. The most common colours are red, pink, white and yellow. If you want to say that a job or a situation includes some unpleasant things, you often say “it is not all roses”.
