Вы никогда не видели птиц додо. Ваши друзья и учителя никогда не видели птиц додо. Ваши дедушки и бабушки никогда не видели птиц додо. Последние из этих крупных тихих птиц погибли много лет назад.

Птицы Додо или дронты жили на острове Маврикий. Голландские корабли прибыли на этот остров и нашли этих больших толстых птиц. Дронты не могли летать, но они не боялись людей.

Посетители Маврикия убили всех дронтов на острове. К 1690-м годам в мире не было птиц додо. В настоящее время вы можете видеть только кости этих птиц и их фото.

История птиц додо очень грустная, и она показывает вам, насколько опасен человек и как легко уничтожить дикую природу.

Додо жили на острове Маврикий в Индийском океане.
