Текст аудирования:
...the British adventurer Jason Lewis has finally completed his incredible journey around the world! Jason has arrived back in London today after 13 years of travelling - using only human power, and no motorized vehicles. In total, Jason has travelled more than 74,000km. He’s walked, cycled and rollerskated his way across five continents, and he’s crossed the world’s seas and oceans in a specially designed pedal boat.
Jason’s surprising journey began 13 years ago when he was 26 years old. First he cycled from London to the south coast, and then he travelled by pedal boat to France. Next he rode his mountain bike across Spain and Portugal. After that he took the pedal boat across the Atlantic to Miami.
It was in North America that he had the most frightening moment of his journey - while he was rollerskating across the USA, he had a terrible accident. A car crashed into him, and he broke both his legs. But after nine months, he finally continued his journey through Australia, Asia, Africa and Eastern Europe. And now, at last, hetasks back ‘home’ in London. Jason said that he was very excited to be back in Britain, but a bit worried about the idea of staying in one place after 13 years of travelling! In an interview earlier, he said that the best thing about his adventure was meeting so many interesting people around the world. He also talked about his plans to write a book about his experiences.
