Present perfect с «for» и «since»

Мы используем present perfect с «for» тогда, когда мы упоминаем отрезок времени, в течении которого происходит ситуация.

We’ve had the ringtone for two weeks. (У нас этот рингтон две недели.)

Мы используем present perfect с «since» тогда, когда мы упоминаем момент времени, когда ситуация начала происходить.

My friend has been at school since 8.30 this morning. (Мой друг находится в школе с 8.30 утра.)

Мы используем «How long» со временем present perfect, чтобы спрашивать о продолжительности действия или ситуации.

How long have you had the ringtone? (Как давно у вас этот рингтон?)

How long has your friend been at school? (Как долго твой друг находится в школе?)

Present perfect с «just»

Мы используем «just» со временем present perfect, чтобы говорить о действиях, которые произошли совсем недавно.

Мы используем субъект + have/has + just + past participle.

I’ve just bought a new MP3 player. (Я только что купил новый МР3-плеер.)

My brother has just started a blog. (Мой брат только что начал вести блог.)

Present perfect и past simple

Мы используем present perfect для ситуаций, когда период времени ещё не закончился.

I’ve had this computer for five years. (У меня этот компьютер пять лет.)

(У меня сейчас тот же самый компьютер.)

Мы используем past simple для завершённых действий в прошлом, когда период времени закончился.

I sent my first email six years ago. (Я отправил своё первое электронное сообщение шесть лет назад.)

Выражения времени

Мы используем «ever», «for» и «since» со временем present perfect (когда период времени, о котором идёт речь, ещё не закончился).

Have you ever read Emma by Jane Austen? (Ты когда-либо читал «Эмму» Джейн Остин?)

The game has been in the shops for two weeks. (Игра в продаже две недели.)

OK! Magazine has been popular since the late 1990s. (Журнал OK! популярен с конца 1990-ых.)

Мы используем «ago, in (+ year / month / season / year), last week / month / year и т.д., when l was a child / ten и т.д.» со временем past simple (когда период времени закончился).

Magazines were more popular ten years ago. (Журналы были более популярны десять лет назад.)

They set up the website in 2006. (Они основали вебсайт в 2006.)

The magazine closed last year. (Журнал закрылся в прошлом году.)

We use the past simple for completed actions in the past, when the time period is finished.

We use ever, for and since with the present perfect (when the time period we are talking about is not finished).
