Sophie the Dalmatian swam to Georgia Peck who had plunged into a fast-flowing, swollen river in Scotland.
Georgia clung on to Sophie who paddled safely back to the bank of the River Urr, in Scotland. (B)
The schoolgirl was trying to reach the dog at the rivertasks edge when she slipped and plunged into the water. Sophie couldntaskt hear her screams but swam to Georgia when she saw her struggling, reports the Daily Record. Georgia said, "Sophie saved me. Itaskve been told (D) to keep away from the water but I thought I -should go in and get the dog out. Then I fell backwards and Sophie came to my rescue.
