А: Твоя любимая футбольная команда, Ридерс. Счет был 3:1 (три к одному). Ты не смотрела вчера телевизор?

В.: Нет, не смотрел и (I’m afraid you’re mistaken) я боюсь, что ты ошибаешься. Я не болею за Ридерс.

А.: Но ты вчера только сказал, что ты был их фанатом.

В.: Я всегда болел за Рэнджерс.

А.: Правда? О, но в любом случае жалко, что ты пропустил вчерашний матч. Я думал, ты смотрел все важные игры.

В.: Я никогда не смотрю футбол по телевизору. Если я хочу посмотреть, я иду на стадион.

А.: О нет. Ты прям как Питер. Вы вдвоем ходите на стадион, не так ли?

В.: (Sorry to correct you but) Извини, что поправляю тебя, но нет. Я хожу туда со своим другом - Стивом. Он тоже болеет за Рэнджерс.

А.: Стив? Он не любит футбол. Стив предпочитает баскетбол.

В.: (No, I’m sure you’re wrong) Нет, я уверен, что ты не прав, он не предпочитает его. Каждый знает, что он никогда не пропускает хороший футбольный матч.

A.: But you said only yesterday that you were their fan.

B.: I have always supported the Rangers.

A.: Have you? Oh, but anyway it’s a pity you missed yesterday’s match. I thought you watched all the important games.

B.: I never watch football on television. If I want to see a match, I go to the stadium.

A.: Oh, I know. You’re just like Peter. The two of you go to the stadium together, don’t you?

B.: Sorry to correct you but we don’t. I go there with my friend Steve. He supports the Rangers too.

A.: Steve? He doesn’t like football. Steve prefers basketball.

B.: No, I’m sure you’re wrong, he doesn’t. Everybody knows that he never misses a good football match.
