7 Little Tom never agrees with his elder brother Jack. Read what Jack says and express Tomtasks arguments using Vto as in the example.

Example:

Jack: Tom, why are you so late? You said you would come home at seven.

Tom: promise/to be late

Tom: No, I didntaskt. I just promised not to be late.

1) Jack: Tom, you haven’t done your room yet! And you agreed to do it yesterday.

Tom: agree/to make the room messy

2) Jack: Tom, why haven’t you finished your lessons yet? You planned to be free at four!

Tom: plan/to work on the computer in the evening

3) Jack: Tom, you haven’t been to the shops yet. And you promised to do it.

Tom: promise/not to leave the family without bread

4) Jack: Oh, I see, Tom. How good of you. You have decided to prepare lunch.

Tom: decide/to ask you to do it

5) Jack: Tom, I can’t believe my eyes. You’re writing an essay instead of watching a horror film in the cinema as you planned to do.

Tom: plan/to stay at home this evening

6) Jack: Tom, my bike is broken and you promised not to touch it.

Tom: promise/not to ride your bike

7) Jack: Tom, you don’t know the poem and you agreed to recite it at the school party.

Tom: agree/to play the guitar and sing my song

8) Jack: Tom, where is the money? You promised not to spend it on little things.

Tom: promise/to spend the money on CDs.
