Present Simple and Present Continuous
We use the Present Simple
1 to talk about habits and routines.
2 to talk about facts and generalizations.
3 with state verbs (believe, belong, know, like, prefer, remember, see, seem, went, understand) when we describe what is happening now.
We use the Present Continuous
4 to talk about actions happening now.
5 to talk about temporary situations.
6 to talk about changes.
Mind the trap!
Adverbs of frequency normally come before the main verb with Simple tenses.
They usually have long hair.
