Прямая речь

Настоящее Простое время (Present Simple): «Барбара не любит историю».

Настоящее Длительное время (Present Continuous): «Девочки отлично проводят время в Нью-Йорке».

Настоящее Совершенное время (Present Perfect): «Российская пловчиха выиграла гонку».

Прошедшее Простое время (Past Simple): «Это не заняло много времени».

Будущее время (will): «Всем придется сдавать выпускной экзамен».

Косвенная речь

Прошедшее Простое время (Past Simple): Пит сказал, (что) Барбаре не нравилась история.

Прошедшее Длительное время (Past Continuous): Пит сказал, (что) девочки отлично провели время в Нью-Йорке.

Прошедшее Совершенное время (Past Perfect): Пит сказал, (что) российский пловец выиграл гонку.

Прошедшее Совершенное время (Past Perfect): Пит сказал, что это не заняло много времени.

Would: Пит сказал, (что) всем пришлось бы сдавать выпускной экзамен.

1 Прямая речь

Мы используем прямую речь, чтобы в точности повторить то, что сказал человек. Мы используем кавычки (“ ” или ‘ ’), чтобы обозначить прямую речь.

‘Мне очень жаль.’

Она сказала: ‘Мне очень жаль’.

2 Косвенная речь

Мы используем косвенную речь, чтобы повторить то, что было сказано в нашей речи.

‘Мне жаль’. -> Она сказала, (что) ей жаль.

Изменения в притяжательных прилагательных и местоимениях:

‘Это моя камера’. -> Она сказала, (что) это была ее камера.

‘Эта камера моя’. -> Она сказала, что камера принадлежит ей.

‘Я видел ее на прошлой неделе,’ – сказал он. -> Он сказал, что видел ее неделю назад.

2 Reported speech

We use reported speech to repeat what was said in our speech.

‘I am sorry.task -> She said (that) she was sorry.

Changes to possessive adjectives and pronouns:

‘It’s my camera.task -> She said (that) it was her camera. ‘That cameratasks mine.task -> She said (that) the camera was hers.

‘I saw her last week,task he said. -> He said (that) he had seen her the week before.
