In my opinion, first of all Maya could invent a way to produce water, because it would solve big problems with drinking. Secondly, they could predict weather changes better and change their behavior. For example, they would build dams instead of pyramids or move to a place with plenty of water. Finally, they could make much bigger supplies of water and food.
