В наши дни ситуация изменилась, когда люди решили, что если они узнали как менять вещи на планете, то им это разрешили делать. Такой подход очень часто ведет к катастрофе. Возьмите Аральское море, или озеро Байкал, подумайте о тиграх и слонах, которые вымирают, вспомните исландское извержение вулкана, которое парализовало мир на недели, и самое трагичное из всего этого – землятресение и цунами в Японии, которое послужило причиной мировой ядерной катастрофы.

Подростки не могут нести ответственность за всемирные дела, но они также могут изменить многое, обращая внимание на маленькие вещи, которые все еще могут существенно поменять дело.

Питер категорически против машин. Вероятно, он слишком радикален, но у него есть своя точка зрения, когда он говорит, что машины это загрязнители воздуха и людям не следует иметь столько много машин, сколько у них есть в настоящий момент.

У меня глубокое уважение к взглядам моих друзей, и хотя, я еще не такой хороший, но я становлюсь лучше. Теперь я понимаю, что то, что мы сейчас делаем, сохранит мир для наших детей.

Every year a lot of people around the globe get more and more concerned about the environment. _ Humanity has always depended on the planet for everything and our ancestors used to respect and even worship it. This situation has changed nowadays when people decided that if they had found out how to change things on the planet, they were allowed to do so. Such approach often leads to _ disaster. Take the Aral sea, or _ Lake Baikal, think of the tigers and elephants, that are dying out, remember the Icelandic volcano eruption which paralyzed the world for weeks and the most tragic of all —the earthquake and zunami in_Japan which caused the global nuclear catastrophe.

Teenagers can't be held responsible for the global things, but they too can change a lot by paying _ attention to little things which will still make _huge difference.

I have a lot of friends who are very environmentally aware.

My friend Kate is a vegetarian. She does not eat _meat, because she is against the bad conditions the animals are kept in. Kate never uses the products without a special label "not tested on the animals" or "against the animal testing" on it. She thinks it is unfair that the animals should die for the sake of creating a new kind of lipstick or a better shampoo for people. Naturally Kate does not wear _ fur and is trying to avoid wearing _ leather as much as she can.

My other friend Michael is very careful about the way he disposes of_trash. He carefully sorts it and divides it into organic and non- organic. His nonorganic trash like the glass, plastic, paperand aluminium cans goes to different containers to be recycled.

Pete is strongly against cars. He is probably too radical, but he has his point when he says that cars are air polluters and people should not have as many cars as they do at the moment.

I have a great respect to my friends' views and though I am not that good yet, I am improving. Now I understand that what we do now will preserve the world for our children.
