My Big Moment
I had spent the summer acting in an amateur theatre group. I have always enjoyed acting and the theatre, but I never thought I would have the 1) opportunity to be part of a real Broadway production. However, that is exactly what happened during my time with The Starway Theatre Group. One evening just before our 2) performance we were told by the organiser of the theatre group that an important Broadway director was in the 3) audience. He was there to discover new talent for his show. We could hardly contain our excitement! Even though I had been performing in the same show all summer, I was 4) quite nervous.
When I went on stage for my first scene, I felt as if I was about to fall 5) apart and make a fool of myself. I still don’t understand what exactly happened, whether it was the effect of the bright lights on me or the idea that I was being watched by a great director, but whatever it was, I 6) gave my best performance ever!
After the show I was asked to meet with the director and he offered me a 7) small part in his Broadway show. That autumn I went to New York and performed for one season on Broadway! It was an experience of a lifetime!

Obstacles
Jackie entered the house looking upset. Her mum looked at the clock a little surprised. “Could Jackie 1) have finished her driving test already?” she wondered. She walked up to Jackie, put an arm around her and said, “You 2) didn’t pass the test, did you? Why don’t you tell me what happened?”
Jackie 3) sighed sadly and said, “Oh, Mum, it was awful. As soon as the examiner showed up, my mind went blank. I forgot everything I had learnt in my lessons.”
“Oh, you poor thing,” said her mum. “That’s what happened the last time you 4) took the test. I thought you were over that by now.” “Well, to tell you the truth, I was and I am,” exclaimed Jackie. “I 5) am pulling your leg just now, Mum. I wasn’t nervous in the least!”
Her mother looked up and saw the huge smile on her daughter’s face. “I 6) don’t believe it. You mean you passed?” “With flying colours! I even aced in the reverse parking part of the test. So, Mum - how about 7) handing over the keys to the car? I’m ready to take you for a ride.”

Japanese delights
Who knew that the perfect little place for Asian cuisine is 1) centrally located in the city? Well, it’s time my readers know what I have discovered. Sanraku is the perfect 2) combination of well-cooked dishes and sushi at unquestionably the best prices in town. Don’t be put off by its small size and simple decor. Sanraku will be an 3) unexpected delight!
As is customary in Japanese restaurants, Sanraku has a sushi bar and a few private rooms where you sit on pillows around a low table to eat. 4) Visitors can choose from a variety of freshly made sushi and tasty tempura dishes served by friendly and hospitable waiters.
Sanraku is one of my top recommendations for delicious reasonably-priced Asian cuisine. The only 5) inconvenience I found was the lack of 6) parking nearby. However, the delightful culinary experience made up for it!
