Dear Julie,
I know how much you dream of travelling abroad but are unable to because of the cost. I just came across an advert on the Net for a job tutoring English in a foreign country.
I’m sure you’re thinking that you don’t have any training in language teaching. Rest assured, they only require that you are a native speaker. The agency places you with a family in a country of your choice. You spend the summer tutoring their young ones and receive free room and board. You work regular hours and get two evenings a week free.
The salary is quite generous and there are plenty of benefits. Most of the families are located near or in busy Towns so you will find something to do when you have a night off.
If you are interested, I’m attaching the advert so you can write to them if you have any questions.
Yours,
Mary Stone
b) Use your short questions to write suitable sentences requesting information.
e.g. I would appreciate it if you could inform me which countries are included in the program./Could you tell me which countries you operate in?
c) Use the notes and your sentences in Ex. 3b to write an email to the agency requesting the information you need (100-140 words).
