People often ask me about my hairdo and why I would spend so long trying to achieve it. The funny thing is that part of the beauty of the emo hairstyle is just how easy it is to achieve. It’s true that there are a few common elements, but each emo hairstyle is completely individualized, which means you can’t go wrong. A true emo hairstyle comes from how the creator is feeling at that moment. That’s why you need to design your own emo hairstyle and not have it done for you. At any rate, why pay a fortune to have it styled when you can create something unique yourself?

Boy 1: My hair’s really boring, don’t you think?
Boy 2: Why don’t you dye it?
Boy 1: That’s exactly what I was thinking, but I’m not sure what colour to have it done.
Boy 2: I think your hair would look good dark. The darker the colour the better. It’s more expressive, don’t you think?
Boy 1: Yeah, but dark hair expresses a dark feeling, which I don’t have at the moment. I was thinking of something brighter.
Boy 2: What about blond?
Boy 1: No, it’s too common.
Boy 2: Blue or maybe even violet!
Boy 1: Yeah ...

Mum: Is that a new pair of jeans?
Fiona: Urn. Yes. Why?
Mum: Darling, you have a wardrobe full of jeans. Why buy yet another pair?
Fiona: These are pencil leg ones. I didn’t have pencil leg jeans.
Mum: Sweetheart, fashion changes very quickly. If you keep trying to keep up, it will end up costing you a fortune.
Fiona: What do you care what I do with my money?
Mum: Because I’m the one who gives it to you and I don’t expect you to waste it on things you don’t need. It doesn’t grow on trees, you know.

My favourite outfit is my Indian skirt and top I bought last summer. I feel really comfortable wearing it and it looks really good on me, I think.
I love the bright colours and the light material.
Mv mum tells me I look like a hippie when I wear it. She’s always complaining about my taste in clothes. She says that need to dress more smartly otherwise people will never take me seriously. But I don’t feel comfortable in formal clothing or high heels. I need to wear casual clothes and flat shoes to be comfortable. And, to be honest, I don’t care what people think.

Sales assistant: Can I help you, sir?
Young man: Yes, I’m looking for some trousers.
Sales assistant: Formal or casual?
Young man: I don’t know.
Sales assistant: Well, where will you be wearing them?
Young man: To work.
Sales assistant: What’s the dress code at your work?
Young man: Well, some people wear suits and others trousers and shirts.
Sales assistant: Well, shall we look at our smart casual range?
Young man: OK.
Sales assistant: What size are you?
Young man: I don’t know. My girlfriend usually buys my clothes.
Sales assistant: Well, let me measure your waist. You’re a size 42.1 have something in that size in these.
Young man: Oh, I like them. They’re very smart.

My favourite place to shop is the Internet. I buy all my books, music and tickets online. I haven’t tried buying anything else online, at least not yet, but I find it a lot easier to shop online than to go to a shop to buy things. I’m pretty busy and, to be honest. I don’t really enjoy shopping, at least I didn’t before I could do it online. The books I buy are delivered straight to my door. The music I download onto my computer and MP3 player and the tickets I print as e-tickets. It’s great!

Most people aim at some point in their life to buy their own home. But few people have the money to pay for it outright so they will need to get themselves a loan. Most banks won’t lend you the full amount so you will need to save for a deposit. Your deposit should be at least 10% of the value of the house. This is not a small amount and it might take you years to save. My advice is start saving as soon as you start working. By the time you’re 30, you should have saved enough for your deposit.

Woman: Is that your new flat screen TV?
Man: Yes, do you like it?
Woman: Wow, it’s huge!
Man: I know, but the picture’s really sharp. Here, have a look.
Woman: Yes, it’s great. That must have set you back a bit.
Man: It cost me 3,000 pounds.
Woman: 3,000 pounds for a TV? That’s a lot, isn’t it? Man: Well, it is a 50-inch screen and it’s got all these features ...
Woman: How did you pay for it on your meagre salary?
Man: I put it on my credit card.
Woman: Not again. Robert!
