Случай 1. Николаевы (супружеская пара и их 10-летний сын) живут на третьем этаже жилого дома. Их соседи, Трубниковы, живут прямо над ними и очень небрежно относятся к кранам и трубам, и вода часто заливается в квартиру Николаевых, поэтому они вынуждены ремонтировать потолки и менять обои. У них уже было несколько споров, но это не помогло. Потоп, который был недавно, стал последней каплей, и Николаевы собираются обратиться в суд для возмещения ущерба.

Случай 2. Дмитрий Зеленов и его жена Тамара Антоновна на пенсии и живут в двухквартирном доме. По соседству с ними живет семья Вербицких, которая состоит из сравнительно молодых родителей, которые работают за границей большую часть времени, и их детей-подростков (Макс, 18 лет и Катя, 16 лет). Подростки приятно проводят время, когда их родители далеко, приглашают своих друзей, слушают хард-рок на большой громкости и танцуют всю ночь напролет, что вызывает много возмущения у соседей. Теперь, когда родители вернутся домой, Зеленовы сделают последнюю отчаянную попытку убедить их прекратить шуметь, в противном случае они подадут на них в суд.

Case 1. The Nikolaevs (a married couple and their 10-year-old son) live on the third floor of a block of flats. Their neighbours, the Troubnikovs, living directly above them are very careless about their taps and pipes, and water often comes through into the Nikolaevstask flat, so that they have had to repair the ceilings and change the wallpaper. They have already had several arguments, but it didntaskt help. The water which came through recently was the last straw, and the Nikolaevs are going to apply to the court for damages.

Case 2. Dimitry Zelenov and his wife, Tamara Antonovna, are retired and live in a semi-detached house. Next door to them lives the Verbitsky family consisting of comparatively young parents, who work abroad most of the time, and their teenage children (Max, 18, and Katya, 16 . The teenagers have a nice time when their parents are away, inviting their friends, listening to hard rock at high volume and dancing all night long, which causes a lot of resentment in their neighbours. Now the Verbitsky parents are back home, the Zelenovs have made a last desperate attempt to persuade them to stop the noise, otherwise they will take them to court.
